Levels: Undergraduate, Undergraduate Second Degree, Undergraduate Third Degree, Licensure Only, Undergraduate Regular Campus Lecture Schedule Type Traditional Instructional Method Learning Objectives: The course is designed to introduce the student to the professional practice of auditing. Several possible career areas will be discussed, with emphasis on external auditing. Public accounting and its regulation will be discussed in detail. Financial statement audits will be discussed in detail with an emphasis on internal control systems and the auditor¿s study and evaluation of internal control systems. In this context EDP systems and audit sampling will be discussed. Finally, the independent auditor¿s reporting and professional responsibilities will be emphasized.
