Learning Objectives: A course designed to provide students with the fundamental tools and techniques of arranging in the jazz idiom. Prerequisites for this course are Jazz Theory I and Jazz Theory II. This course will introduce techniques in lead sheet interpretation and analysis, rewriting melodies, rules and practices from two through five part writing in the jazz style.
