Learning Objectives: Ear Training I is the beginning study of how to hear and reproduce music from notation without the aid of accompaniment and how to notated music strictly from listening. This class is required for music majors and the skills learned are a vital and necessary part becoming a better musician. This course introduces the basic building blocks of aural comprehension by drill, practice and study. The goal of this class is to give the student a solid level of aural skills, whether in reproducing music from notation or notating music from listening.

Technical Requirements: This is a core curriculum class for music majors and minors. You must be admitted by the department to enroll in the class.
