Levels: Undergraduate, Undergraduate Second Degree, Undergraduate Third Degree, Licensure Only, Undergraduate Regular Campus Lecture Schedule Type Traditional Instructional Method Learning Objectives: Learning Outcomes: Students develop a basic understanding of the physical and mental processes involved in the effective use of the singing voice with emphasis on tone production, diction and interpretation. Performance of a survey of literature for the solo voice is emphasized. Each student will perform a song at the end of the semester with emphasis on diction, interpretation, and accuracy of notes and rhythm. Students will demonstrate an understanding of rudimentary sight reading skills. During performance students will adhere to all accepted etiquette practices expected of audience members in the classical genre of music.
