The course content includes topics such as theoretical models of language development, listening, oral language, spelling, handwriting, reference skills, and children’s composition. Teacher candidates will also learn about techniques for teaching language arts to mainstreamed exceptional students. The course is also accompanied by a ten (10) hour field experience requirement.
