Learning Objectives: Students will be able to: •Examine and apply historical relevance to today’s early childhood education philosophy of developmentally appropriate practices. •Identify the trends, issues and research in early intervention efficacy and early childhood education. •Explore and write your personal philosophy of early childhood education. •Apply developmentally appropriate practices through demonstration in an early childhood environment through correct curriculum and set-up of the environment. •Plan curriculum activities according to knowledge of principles of child development. •Examine current regulations and guidelines and demonstrate how they contribute to quality early childhood education program.
